Bud Tucker Volunteer of the Year

As part of the company’s commitment to “paying our civic rent,” we honor an individual for their community service.

Our Volunteer of the Year honor is based on Bud Tucker’s iconic statement…“Pay civic rent for the space you occupy.” We are blessed, as a company, to have many deserving individuals who embody a passion for helping others. I love to present; it fills me with pride to see what our Tucker family does for others.

As you will hear, this year’s award winner pays that civic rent in an honorable and meaningful way.

Today’s honoree was nominated numerous times by a variety of people who see her selfless spirit and draw inspiration from her humility and leadership through action.

One person states, “Her reliability and work ethic speak volumes about her character. If she is scheduled, she shows up, no excuses, no shortcuts. She takes genuine pride in serving alongside others and understands that consistency is what truly strengthens a community.”

For more than five years, this individual has dedicated herself to The Hope House in Hancock County, serving first as a volunteer, then Board Treasurer in 2025. Through her leadership and hands-on involvement, she helps sustain the Hope House thrift store in Greenfield, which directly supports the mission of combating homelessness by funding safe housing, advocacy, and pathways to self-sufficiency for individuals and families in need. Her work makes a measurable difference week after week. Again, that consistency!

Her service also reflects the very heart of the F.C. Tucker Company and the spirit of “paying your civic duty.”

Not only does she volunteer countless hours at the Hope House, she also organizes multiple “Stuff the Truck” events at the Tucker East office, bringing the Hope House donation truck directly to agents and the surrounding community. Each event fills the truck front to back, and her passion for these efforts is undeniable—this cause truly lives in her heart.

Another person stated, “What makes her exceptional is how quietly she steps up. She never seeks recognition, yet she is always the first to help—supporting new agents, assisting colleagues, and going above and beyond for her clients on a daily basis.”
